Neon Phosphor's mailbag, part 1

"how much time before the raveges of the popular music world turn you guys to drugs? I mean you guys gotta already be hardcore alchoholics."----Who is this? I wish we didn't have a "your name is optional" policy. To answer your question, it's already happened. Did you know that many romantic poets, especially Coleridge, composed some of the greatest English poetry while on an opium high? Or that Radiohead recorded "Planet Telex" while pissed out of their minds. And to quote Emily Dickinson:

I taste a liquor never brewed --
From Tankards scooped in Pearl --
Not all the Vats upon the Rhine
Yield such an Alcohol!

Inebriate of Air -- am I --
And Debauchee of Dew --
Reeling -- thro endless summer days --
From inns of Molten Blue --

When "Landlords" turn the drunken Bee
Out of the Foxglove's door --
When Butterflies -- renounce their "drams" --
I shall but drink the more!

Till Seraphs swing their snowy Hats --
And Saints -- to windows run --
To see the little Tippler
Leaning against the -- Sun --
